Albuquerque on the Cheap found a free night’s stay for active duty and retired military through the B&B for Vets program.  Throughout the U.S.  and Canada, more than 100 bed and breakfasts will host qualified service members on Thursday, November 10, 2011.  The even sold out quickly last year, so check out the details right away.

Anheuser Busch offers one FREE day pass per year to active duty military, reservists and National Guards and three direct dependents  to SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Williamsburg, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, or Adventure Island.   The complementary pass is good through 2011.  Reservations must be made online ahead of time.

The Old Brick Inn in St. Michaels, Maryland, offers active duty military and their families 20% off any two-day stay during the week and  15% off any two night stay over the weekend.  Veterans who belong to a service organization (Elks, Moose, Kiwanis, Rotary, IAVA, etc.) can receive 10% off.  Special must be mentioned when you book to get the discount. The Bed and Breakfast complex includes two historic buildings with large rooms, high ceilings and over sized windows in the heart of town.  The inn is within walking distance of most stores, restaurants and the Chesapeake Maritime Museum.

Veterans Holidays offers veterans 30% off for seven-night vacation packages for two to all-inclusive resorts booked through their site.  The luxury resorts are in Cancun, the Dominican Republic and Cozumel and offer typical tropical vacation amenities including snorkeling, spas, dining, shopping and walking along the beach at sunset.

Military Cruise Deals offers 9  every cabin in every ship they book.  Mark the box marked “military” to find the military rates.  Many cruise companies keep their military rates in their back pocket.  To find those rates, you need to call 866-9-MILITARY (866-964-5482.  The discounts are available to all military personnel and their families, even if you need multiple cabins.  To talk with a booking agent, you may also Skype mycruiseclub.

Need a little time to get in better shape, or just like rugged outdoor adventures when on vacation?  Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, located in the mountains of Bridgeport, California, is the premier training center for Marines planning to serve in mountainous regions. With cold weather and high altitudes Marines and Sailors train with state-of-the-art cold weather equipment. The area also offers camping, fishing and hiking at nearby Yosemite National Park.   Those on TAD orders may make reservations up to 90 days in advance. Active duty military not on orders and military retirees may book lodging, space available, by contacting the billeting office 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations are required 24 hours in advance of expected arrival. Reservations: 760-932-1487.

You don’t have to be in the Navy to stay at a Navy Lodge.  Active Duty military staying for PCS, TDY, medical or leisure, as well as and their families and the surviving spouses of military and the DoD may take advantage of the numerous Navy Lodges available across the country.  Lodges are also available in Italy, Japan, Cuba, and the AE. Some lodges accept dogs and cats along with the kids. The lodges are often about 40 percent less expensive than a comparable resort in the same area, yet still offer many of the amenities that families on vacation desire.  To make reservations, call 1-800-NAVY-INN.
