Operation Purple® Healing Adventures is now accepting applications for their wounded warrior’s camp program. The Healing Adventures program is a family based camp for active duty or medically retired service members who were wounded or experienced illness during their deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. National Guard and Reserve service members are also eligible, as long as injury was sustained during active duty.
All food, lodging, and activities are provided to families at no cost to them, but they are responsible for their transportation to and from the camp.
The camps will be designated to provide:
-Outdoor activities to work together as a family after injury.
-Family-focused activities
-Opportunities for parents to relax and spend some alone time together, while children are supervised by camp counselors in outdoor activities.
-Structured activities developed by the FOCUS Program (Families Overcoming Under Stress™).

NatureBridge in Olympic National Park, Port Angeles, WA – Sept 28 – Oct 1
YMCA Camp H.R. Erdman Waialua, HI – November 2-5
