For many military families experiencing a financial hardship, back to school can be a stressful time – especially for families that have multiple children in the household. However, this can be one less worry for you and your family because of the Operation Homefront Back-to-School Brigade. This program is for military kids that range from grades K-12, and receive free school supplies and backpacks for each child in the family.
Operation Homefront has been running the Back-to-School Brigade since 2009 and to date have given away over 19,000 backpacks filled with school supplies in which has resulted in military families saving a total of $1.2 million. Supplies range from notebooks, paper, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, pens, markers, erasers, rulers, folders, calculators and much more!
So how do you request the school supplies? Click on the link below to select the nearest Operation Homefront chapter. If you don’t see your location, contact the state chapter closets and they will assist you.
