String of Attacks Leave Scores Of People Dead In Iraq

Bombers and gunmen launched an apparently coordinated string of attacks against Iraqi government forces on Wednesday, killing at least 43 people a day after the number of U.S. troops fell below 50,000 for the first time since the start of the war.

Suicide task force faults Pentagon for lack of coordination

WASHINGTON — A lack of coordination by the Pentagon and the rush by each service to develop suicide prevention programs have led to scattershot initiatives that overlap in some areas and have significant gaps in others, according to a report released Tuesday by a congressionally mandated task force on suicide prevention in the military.
